Berenice- Edgar Allan Poe

      
      Hey readers!
      Today we gonna talk about "Berenice", one of the stories of the book.

      The story "Berenice" talk about Egeu, a man who had a difficult childhood. He was solitary because he dedicated too much time reading books. He loved his cousin, Berenice. She was very pretty and full of joy. 

                                     
         After many years, she was already an adult, a disease attacked her. In first attacked her brain but with the time all her pretty and joy go away. The only thing that never changed was her beatiful teeth. After all this, she died and she was buried. But one day, Egeu's servant come into him, tells that his cousin's coffin was violated and she was still alive. When he look around sees a box with her teeth all covered by blood and a poem about her visit.

      Today the story we gonna talk about is "The Oval Portrait"

      This tale was writed in 1842 for the Graham’s Magazine. The story begin when the narrator hurt himself and his driver help him  and they go to a  abandoned castle. There he saw a picture, in a portrait, of a girl. He felt like the girl in the portrait was looking at him. He decided  to search about girl’s story and found a book.

                                        

          The girl in the portrait loved the guy who painted her and then they married. Her husband just carried about his job and, one day, he decided to paint a portrait of her.

         She wasn’t happy anymore, but she had to smile because  her husband was painting her. The painter realized that his wife was getting older while he was painting and the portrait was getting pale, without color. When he finished the portrait realized that his wife was dead.
